Our Butterfly Hatched!
Exciting News!! Our class pet hatched from its chrysalis into a monarch butterfly! We were so glad it happened while we were in the room and all were able to witness it. We will release him into the kindergarten garden later today.

The Essential 55 by Ron Clark
Dear Parents,

Our class has begun reading and discussing a new book called "The Essential 55" by Ron Clark. Each day we learn and discuss two new rules/manners and try to use them as much as possible during the day. Some of rules only apply to a classroom setting and some I don't feel are appropriate for our class but I encourage all of you to pick up a copy of this book and reinforce them at home. My goal for all of my students is not only to achieve academic excellence but to also be kind-hearted and polite citizens. This book gives us the opportunity to discuss and practice good citizenship.

If you are unable to purchase the book, I have attached a PDF of all 55 rules to this website under the Class Files section.

Sincerely,
Lindsay
